Tasty arts-integration happened last week at AAA HS! Chemistry students studied structure and properties of matter and how substances combine or change to make new substances (AKA: pizza!). They examined the complex chemical reactions occurring at the fermentation process, the production of lactic acid, and discussed the chemical functions of water, flour, yeast, and salt. Thanks to Chef G for opening the culinary kitchen to these young scientists!
