INDIGENUITY: Native American Culutral Celebration

*INDIGENUITY the 5th annual Native American Cultural Celebration at the Museum of Native American Museum (MONAH) will take place next week Oct.7-9.  Please don't miss this three day celebration of INDIGENUITY!  

MONAH is bringing together indigenous people at the top of their field to share the importance of tradition and innovation. There will be astronauts, scholars, artists, authors, and music. 

Educators, students and the public have the opportunity to learn about indigenous tradition and innovation and participate in a range of workshops, presentations and concerts:  EXAMPLES: Learn how to craft a birch bark canoe; STEM pathways for girls; Indigifuturism;How to Create Graphic Novels; Storytelling and much MORE!

Some of the presenters include Dr. Dan Wildcat, Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer, Dr. Lee Francis IV, Johnnie Jae, Johnnie Diacon, Weyodi Oldbear, and indigenous astronauts Dr. John Herrington and Dr. Jose Hernandez! We will also host musical guests, Los Texmaniacs, and Lauren Nicole Clare!
