Happy May Day!
What a beautiful start to the month of May! I hope everyone is finding the time to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air on this beautiful day. It looks like this weekend will also be beautiful. We had plenty of April Showers, now I'm ready for some May Flowers!
We have passed the halfway point in the 4th quarter and now have fewer days remaining than days we have already completed. There are 29 instructional days left in this school year! I have been very impressed with the dedication of our students, parents, and teachers to continuing education remotely this quarter. There is a lot of creativity evident and I love seeing the collaboration taking place. If you are struggling, please reach out to us. We can modify instruction, connect you with counseling services, connect you with food pantries, and provide guidance for contacting other community resources as well.
Course requests will be open in the eschool Home Access Center starting on Monday, May 4th. Students or parents can log into eschool and see the courses their teachers have recommended for next year and then request the courses they would like to take. Once all course requests are complete, we'll begin building the master schedule for next year. Please make sure you have your course requests into the system no later than Friday, May 8th at 6 pm. If you have questions or concerns, you are welcome to email me directly. If you don't know your eschool login credentials, you can email me or Joan Miller (jmiller@artsk12.org).
Friendly reminder that next week is Teacher Appreciation Week! If you have a personal thank you note for a teacher, please email me your note and I'll make sure they get them. If you would like to donate an e gift card as a prize for our teacher game of games, you can send the link to me directly at hwright@artsk12.org. We'll forward the card to the winners of the game next week! Thank you to everyone that has already donated or sent me your thank you notes! Our teachers will be thrilled. :)
Our first digital Coffeehouse Night will take place next week on Friday, May 8th at 4 pm. We'll post the link for the session on May 7th. Students, if you are interested in participating, please contact Mrs. Carpenter (rcarpenter@artsk12.org). We hope to repeat the digital performance experience at least twice this year.
