We are working with the Rogers Police Department to make sure our car-line is as safe and efficient as possible. They'll be patrolling today to help us maintain safety.
- Please do not park on 6th street between Cherry and Poplar in the afternoon. If you want to park and have your child walk to you, there are plenty of parking areas available east of the school that will not interfere with traffic flow. I suggest the public parking lot at the corner of 3rd and Poplar or the Methodist Church parking lot on the corner of 3rd and Elm.
- We do not have a park and walk-up option at the high school. Please do not park your car and walk up to the school to get your student. This adds to the chaos and makes car-line longer. Please use the car-line or park east of 5th street and have your student walk to you.
- If you have an elementary student riding the bus to the high school, their high school or junior high sibling can pick them up from the cafeteria on their way to car-line.
- If you are picking up a high school student (grades 9-12), please wait to join the line until after 3:50 pm. If you are in line before junior high students have been cleared, we will ask you to cycle through again rather than block the line.
- Do not exit onto 6th street from the car-line. Both pick up lanes will zipper merge and exit onto 5th street in the afternoon.
- Car-line begins on 7th street. From Poplar, turn south on 7th street, then east on Cherry, then north on 6th, turn right back onto Poplar and then into the parking lot.
I will not be on the corner of 7th and Poplar today, please respect your fellow parents and turn into 7th street. I'll be helping students understand their requirements so that they can load as soon as possible. The first week is always the hardest and then it will be smooth sailing.
