Public Notice Regarding Destruction of Special Education Records Between the School Years of 2013 through 2018
Notice is hereby given that on August 15, 2023, the Special Education Department of Arkansas Arts Academy in Rogers, Arkansas intends to destroy all records for students who have graduated, moved, dropped, found ineligible, or dismissed from services between the school years of 2013-2018. In accordance with State and Federal guidelines, special education records are maintained within our administration building for five years after a student exits our programming for any of the aforementioned reasons. Following that required period, these records can then be destroyed following public announcement. Parents of minor children or the students themselves providing they have reached the age of 18, have the right to request these records prior to being destroyed. Records will be available to pick up from June 19, 2023 until August 15, 2023.
