We teach students the essentials of working with their computer. Each students in High School is issued a Chromebook to use. They are able to take the computer home with them and are required to bring it to each of their classes. We teach the entire Google Suite and the basics of computer coding in this class. By the end of the year they will be comfortable with using their computer. This class is taught using both online and in class resources.
We offer Mountain Biking as a Physical Education credit. We are fortunate to be located within blocks of world class Mountain Biking single track trails and one of the top bike parks in the US, The Railyard https://www.facebook.com/TheRailyardAR.
We practice every other day by riding the Mountain Bike Trails at Lake Atalanta Park
Lake Atalanta Park is a Public Park located just east of Downtown Rogers on Walnut Street a few blocks from our The park was re-opened in October of 2016 after undergoing a complete renovation, and now has approximately 4 miles of hard surface trails and over 10 miles of soft surface multi-use trails.
If students wish to get further into Mountain Biking we also offer them a chance to participate in the National Intercollegiate Bike Association (NICA). We have Parent Volunteers who lead this. (http://www.arkansasmtb.org/)
All classwork is on the students individual Google Classroom page.
