On August 31st  at 3:30 the first public meeting of the PTA was held in the EMS cafeteria.  
The next meeting will be Monday, September 24 at 3:30 in EMS Cafeteria. Mark your calendar!

Basic Report of August 31st Meeting

We have 81 families signed up with dues of $5 per family paid.  
Mrs. Kent reports 85% teachers are members with 100% goal.

T-shirt Orders will be going in soon. High School wanted to order. Extra t-shirts will be ordered.  When they come in Volunteers will be needed to organize and get them to the kids. (Contact Kim Cameron)
             Ms. Asa wants students to wear them for Puppets in the Park, October 10 in Fayetteville.

Book Fair is Friday 9/ 18; Monday –Thursday 9/21-9/24  (Contact  Tricia Burns at
Volunteers needed to help with Teachers’ Wish List and Bulletin Board  Friday, 9/11 8:-11:30 AM
Volunteers needed to help set up Thursday 9/20 time TBA
Volunteers needed to run fair throughout the days as cashiers, stockers, crowd control
Volunteers needed to pack up Friday 9/25 in the morning TBA

Principal reported no openings and 100% enrollment at the AAA EMS campus.  
Explained reasons why she felt it was good to join the National PTA and that
PTA will follow “Roberts Rules of Order” as we are more formalized.
Parents need to check planners and Tuesday folders for communication.
There will be no intercom use at the end of day, no early dismissal without prior notice.
Voice Mail is getting fixed, traffic concerns are being addressed.
Please voice concerns directly to or visit, she has an open door policy.

Box Tops for Education is chaired by Renee Cain
Volunteers needed to encourage collection and families to bring in box tops.

Puppets in the Park will be October 10 at Wilson Park (8:00am-1:30pm).  
Volunteers needed to find Puppet Materials and Transportation.
