It has been a most wonderful month of performances and activities leading up to Thanksgiving break. We are full of great memories and points of gratitude. I am especially grateful for your support, our student’s resiliency and spirit, all our staff for going above and beyond and the collective vision we strive to achieve. Special thanks to Mr. Shields, Ms. Asa, Mrs. Carpenter, Mr. Jenkins, Ms. Gatlin, Ms. Falcon, Ms. Petet, Mrs. Kessler-Webber and Mrs. Ryan on preparing students for the fall performances and art exhibits. Thanks for sharing your love of the arts and remarkable talent with our students. We appreciate all that you do!
As we embark on the holiday season, I am reminded of the importance of community. The things that we have accomplished together would not have been possible without each of you. Thanks for the donations in support of our Girl’s on the Run Canned Food Drive and the clothes that we are collecting for stuff the bus. Our National Junior Honor Society made special gifts and Thanksgiving cards for the Highland Oncology Center. Our hallways are full of gratitude statements and projects from students. Showing others that we care and appreciate them is important for a healthy school.
Our PTA is doing big things and supporting teachers in every area of need. We are thankful for all that you do. Our Spooky Science night was a huge success! We will have totals for Original Works of Art next month and thanks to all that supported this unique opportunity. Please look for invitations to volunteer in classrooms for the winter parties! Thanks again for all that you do!
The front of the building is now taking shape!!!! Thanks for all your patience and support during the construction process. Our school is looking better and we are always making improvements. Thanks to Mr. Richardson and the volunteers that helped to paint the lines in the parking lot. Also a special thanks to the Watchdog Dads for helping to get much needed projects completed around our campus.
I am wishing all of you a restful and safe holiday break. Please mark your calendars for the many upcoming dates and events.
With much gratitude,
